Infinite, untapped potential awaits us in communication.

Little, maybe nothing, happens without communication. Everything becomes possible through communication.

Sadly, it seems many have come to expect that it’s difficult for people to cooperate, to work together or to communicate clearly.

Yet it doesn’t need to be that way. If we will begin by distinguishing between TALK (which can erupt almost unconsciously from our lower brains) and COMMUNICATION (which is an activity that requires our reasoning brain to be activated to engage clearly, with intention) entire worlds can open up to us and we can tackle the difficult issues that face our families, communities, nations and planet.

Note: Brains are quite complex and fascinating. My “lower talk brain” vs “reasoning communication brain” description is simplistic and only used to provide a clear illustration of the differences between talk and communication. You’ll see it mentioned in the future in terms of how you can use that knowledge to rapidly click into your “communication brain” when it’s needed.

Despite more than 25 years training and coaching communicators, I’m still learning. I will forever be learning about communication.

The infinite potential in communication presents us with infinite opportunities to learn more, to do more and to practice more effective communication. I don’t have all the answers yet I love to hear new questions. I hope you will send me some. Your question might lead to a quick answer or an article or two.

You won’t have to worry about missing anything. Every new edition of the newsletter goes directly to your inbox. If you’re not receiving one each week, please let me know in the chat or via email to communicationwizard@gmail.com - I’m decidedly NOT a technology wizard and still have much to learn about all the features provided by our host - Substack.com

Welcome - and please share any questions, ideas, suggestions in the chat or wherever we connect via social media. I’ve loved hearing from readers.
